I am a Maui County Firefighter with 10 years of service and 8 years of American Heart Association Instructor experience. I am originally from Montauk, New York, but call Maui my home now.

Moving to Hawaii in 2009 to attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa was one of the greatest decisions in my life. It’s where I met my wife, Miken, and it’s where I developed a passion for really helping others.

I began my career in the medical field for the City and County of Honolulu EMS as an Emergency Medical Technician in 2013. My wife and I decided to make the move back to her home on Maui shortly after in 2014. In 2015, I was employed by both Maui County Fire Department and Maui AMR.

I currently teach multiple disciplines in the fire service, including AHA CPR and National Registry First Responder classes. Teaching is a passion of mine and I love sharing my experience and stories with others.

Born and raised on the island of Maui, I am a practicing Paramedic, serving my community. I started my Emergency Medical Service journey on O’ahu in 2011, where I received my EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) license.

I was employed by the City and County of Honolulu EMS for two years where I gained valuable experience. In 2015, I transferred home to Maui, where I began working for American Medical Response (the 911 ambulance service here, in Maui).

I received my Paramedic license at the end of 2017. Since gaining my MICT license, I have embedded myself in the realm of teaching. I am an assistant Instructor for the EMS Training Center at the University of Hawai’i Maui College.

I have received my American Heart Association Instructor certification in ACLS, PALS, and BLS provider courses. I truly enjoy, and have a great passion, in sharing my knowledge and experience I have gained through teaching.
